Please. Too well broken? Do you mean lots of small spots like freckles or lightly marked? That is a problem too as it follows you for generations. But the way to improve that is not to be ecstatic at a saddle marked tricolor, but instead to use a well broken tricolor. Breeding to correct instead of the opposite extreme will get you further faster.
