Hi, Roger,
I'm wondering if the angle/positioning should be different for females
than for males given the abstract that Leanne posted? Clearly, there is
a difference in the structure of the male and female and at least in
that one study it seems that the males improved far more than the
females. So, perhaps females would respond to selection pressure in
greater numbers if a better positioning procedure was developed for them?

Second, the issue of how dogs are x-rayed (i.e.
angle) is also an independent variable. I am of the
view that OFA should go to a pass/fail system. The
fair/good/excellent ratings are far too subjective.
It is in my view quite misleading.
