>>the puppy being discussed came from me so I have knowledge about birth
weight and how he grew off as well as the weights of his parents,
grandparents, etc. If I didn't know all that, I wouldn't be able to guess
his final weight.<<

And a splendid puppy he is, too. For quite a while I read the messages on
this list and I took all the gushing and carrying on with a large grain of
salt. Even if they weren't the splendiferous dogs I read about here, Cavs
still seemed pretty nice. Now Wally has been with us for three weeks and he
is the most fabulous puppy in the world. My husband, a cat person if ever
there was one, has even started talking about how Wally needs a brother or
sister! (You'd have to know him to realize how incredible that is.) I knew
within a couple of days that I'd want another.

I wanted a sweet, cuddly, friendly dog and obviously, he's all that. But
he's also smart and athletic, which were not among my criteria.(It's not
that I wanted a *dumb* dog, it's just that I didn't care if he was
"average.")

He couldn't be better.
