I prefer GMime.  <URL: http://spruce.sourceforge.net/gmime/>.  I've
used it extensively, and it's easy to use, well-documented, fast and
very stable.  (And very well-written.)  (I've used it on about 12M
messages, and I've found a single bug in gmime-1.0.6.  It was trivial
to fix, since the source code is so easy to read.)

ClamAV's built-in MIME decoder, er, isn't.
