Thank you for your response. It turned out I was being impatient. I had downloaded recent virus definitions with freshclam, but clamd hadn't selfchecked the virus database. After 3600 seconds, it detected the database modification and caught Worm.SomeFool.P correctly. Thanks again. -- Oscar A.
