Hi,

Thanks for the promprt reply. Before I was running clamav-milter with the
'quiet' option. I guess this is why I wasn't receiving notifications (as the
receiver). I'm now running it as follows:

/usr/local/etc/clamav/sbin/clamav-milter -l -o -p=null
/var/run/clmilter.sock

One other question, whenever I start clamav-milter I get the following
message:

/usr/local/etc/clamav/sbin/clamav-milter: running as root is not recommended

How can I prevent this from happening? I've created the clamav user required
by clamav itself os ideally, I'd run the milter under that user as well...

Thanks,

Joe

Yes it is possible, indeed it is the default action!
Sending to the sender of the email is off by default.

So 2 out 3 three things are by default what you want. The final issue is the
only one that requires work.

If you don't want postmaster to receive messages use --postmaster=null where
null is an address aliased to /dev/null in /etc/aliases.

Again do nothing, this is the default action.
