More specifically, it tends to be FreeBSD 5* systems which have the most complaints. FreeBSD 4* systems have been rock solid with Clam upto just in my experience. If someone is going to run a devel status OS in a production environment, i.e: the FreeBSD 5* range, then high memory usage is but one of many things to be concerned about.
