My clamav-daemon install on a Debian Woody machine died over the weekend,
complaining about a corrupt main.cvd. Restarting it generates the following
error:

Starting ClamAV daemon: LibClamAV Error: cli_cvdload(): Can't create
temporary directory /tmp/clamav-4b99171a8ec40453
LibClamAV Error: Malformed database file /var/lib/clamav//main.cvd
ERROR: Unable to create temporary directory

I've tried removing the offending database and letting freshclam get a new
one, with no effect. I've also tried copying the main.cvd database from
another working machine, also with no effect. Can anyone tell me how to
recover this machine?
