Hi Wash,

it says version 1.2.1, I don't really understand why because I applied the latest security patch

Hi clamav-users,

I have a question about compiling clamav on freebsd 5.4 , I get the following error

configure: error: The installed zlib version may contain a security bug. Please upgrade to 1.2.2 or later: http://www.zlib.net. You can omit this check with --disable-zlib-vcheck but DO NOT REPORT any stablility issues then!

I already applied the zlib security patch, is it safe to ignore the error?

So, if you look at /usr/include/zlib.h, what is the version number? If
it is > 1.2.2 then you are okay.

In my case, I always compile zlib statically into clamav.
