Might be that server was off-line. It's working now, though. Try running freshclam again. It might be main.cvd is being placed where clamd can't find it. That is defined in the freshclam.conf file *and* the clamd.conf file. They have to agree on the location and that location has to be writable by what ever user freshclam is run as.
