Compare that to Solaris:
Sockets Library Functions byteorder(3SOCKET)
NAME
byteorder, htonl, htons, ntohl, ntohs - convert values
between host and network byte order
SYNOPSIS
cc [ flag... ] file... -lsocket -lnsl [ library... ]
...
Well, that didn't help.
Let's take a look at /usr/include/netinet/in.h, in there you should find a
define for ntohl, something like:
#ifdef _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED
/*
* Macros for number representation conversion.
*
* netinet/in.h is another location for these macros
*/
#ifndef ntohl
#define ntohl(x) (x)
#define ntohs(x) (x)
#define htonl(x) (x)
#define htons(x) (x)
#endif
#endif /* _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED */
If it were like this we would not have a problem, so let's see how is defined.
