I just upgraded ClamAV from 0.88.2 to 0.88.3. Everything looked fine in installation process. Once I ran 'freshclam -v' to verify the upgrade, it showed
ERROR: Problem with internal logger. I went thru the archive, but none of them fall into my case. I had checked owner/permission of the log file and it looks correct: -rw-r----- 1 defang defang 362 Jul 19 16:29 freshclam.log However, if I restart freshclam process, the log file did get updated -rw-r----- 1 defang defang 724 Jul 19 17:02 freshclam.log less freshclam.log -------------------------------------- freshclam daemon 0.88.3 (OS: aix5.2.0.0, ARCH: ppc, CPU: powerpc) ClamAV update process started at Wed Jul 19 17:02:34 2006 main.cvd is up to date (version: 39, sigs: 58116, f-level: 8, builder: tkojm) daily.cvd is up to date (version: 1607, sigs: 3751, f-level: 8, builder: ccordes) -------------------------------------- I'm pretty sure there is only 1 freshclam running.
