Thanks to Sander Holthaus, Noel Jones and Steve at zianet.com for the
ideas and assists.
I installed wget on one of the machines and was able to connect and get
the main.cvd file (but it took a while), so I cranked up the timeouts in
freshclam.conf to 120 and wala, I am updating now.
I am not sure what happened to jack up the latency, but that was the issue.
Original post follows.
I am starting to think my systems have been blacklisted for some reason.
They have all (3) been set up according to the instructions listed on
the web site, but all are failing to get updates.
How do I
1) find out for certain if I am blacklisted? (none of the machines in
question have lynx or wget on them so that option from the FAQ won't work)
2) get removed from the blacklist if I am on it?
3) find out what cause the blacklisting to start with?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
