I think you are wrong there. Security doesn't improve market share. A properly configured Linux client system is already more secure against viruses, trojans, adware, malware, browser hijacking, rootkits and network attacks without any of these programs than a Windows system will ever be even with all of them. (Remember the viruses ClamAV checks for are *Windows* viruses. A unixoid OS doesn't run ClamAV for its own protection but for the protection of Windows clients.) Does that help its market penetration? Not in the least.
