The browser lets me know it's a bin file, and asks if I wish to download it. I initially was using database.clamav.net (the default) in the /etc/clamav/freshclam.conf file, and the same thing was happening, which is why I decided to try a more local server. Perhaps I could just download it with my browser (using aria), and then figure out a way to convert the file into the database. Is it possible to just download the main.cvd file, without using freshclam, and then somehow convert it to the usable database? .....hmm, once again, at 4%, it gave up, and has restarted.....well, it's at 7% now. I'll let it run overnight, and see if in the morning it managed to download it. Any further suggestions are certainly appreciated.
