Could you please point out where on that page it mentions anything about the problem ? As it happens, I HAVE been to that page several times in the last few months, because I've been setting up new mail servers and was looking for info on downloading the updates just once and passing them round to the others - see, even though it's a small setup, I still try and minimise my load on the upstream project servers.


That is why people are so upset about this - in practical terms, to most users, it was **NOT** announced 6 months ago - it was sprung on them with no warning this morning.
