I'm sure Debian packages would greatly help adoption of clapf

I agree. Well then you two may combine your forces :-) You should
consent about the configure options. My recommendation is:

./configure \
--enable-clamd \
--with-clapf-user=clapf \
--localstatedir=/var \
--with-userdb=mysql \
--enable-rbl \
--enable-policy \
--enable-whitelist \
--with-tokendb=mysql \
--with-store=fs \
--enable-lmtp

or '--with-userdb=ldap' for the clapf-ldap package.

If you have succeeded with the packages, I will mention/include them in
the download page. I think it may be possible to add the packages to 3rd
party debian repositories. It might be an even better solution to upload
the packages to such a repo, and only reference it on the download page.

Best regards,
Janos
