I am working now on getting the system classes up to 1.2 compliance
(since I have nothing else to do while waiting). I am finding it difficult
to interpret the meaning of the field serialPersistentFields, though--it
seems to say that a ObjectStreamClass is created for the Class and then
written out.
My questions: What stuff should I put into serialPersistentFields for
class Class? Who creates the ObjectStreamClass instance, the serializer or
Class itself? My guess is it is the serializer, since there are no
writeObject() or readObject() methods for Class.
