FYI -- JacORB is the pre-eminent free software Java ORB.  I wrote Gerald, its
author, about contributing to classpath, and this is his reply.

I don't think we need this in the near future, but there's probably an
opportunity for someone to use the JacORB code as a starting point for org.omg.*
(CORBA public API), gnu.corba.* (ORB implementation) and an enhanced idl2java
tool.
