It is my understanding that all contributions to libgcj at the moment
must be assigned to Cygnus or put in the public domain so that Cygnus
can re-license it to their embedded systems customers (LGPL is
apparently too restrictive for them).  It is also my understanding
that if enough people contribute, some folks at Cygnus will attempt to
get the whole thing released under a single more liberal license (as
is done with libstdc++.
