It occurs to me that I did not post anything about this to the list. Sorry. As you may know, we plan to enhance Matt Welsh's NinjaRMI package to make it 100% compatible with the standard Java class library version and adopt it for Classpath. Due to licensing constraints, we cannot include it directly in our project. NinjaRMI will remain a separate project. However, we can distribute a snapshot if as our RMI implementation. (This is similar to how we rely on GTK+ for our native AWT implementation). Since Kaffe needs RMI as well, I proposed that we work together to bring this package to a usage state. They agreed. Matt is super busy right now so not much is happening, but we might try to set up a CVS repository soon and start work ourselves.
