Just weighing in: given what I've heard about the proposed change so far, I
don't have any problem with it.  I don't care at all who links with the lib,
in any way, as long as the code itself doesn't ever become non-free.

And it seems to me a good idea to get together with GCJ, so if we need
votes, mine is in favor.
