Ok, I'm getting a new "classpath" repository set up on subversions.gnu.org.
When this is done, I will import the parts of Classpath that do not overlap
with gjc. Ditto for the other way around. The rest will need to be
sorted through. I already have a volunteer who is doing a class by
class comparison for java.net.

A few of points:

1. I am planning on using the same directory structure that Classpath
has now, because I made it up, and therefore I like it. :-) I also
think it happens to be a decent one.

2. Classpath currently doesn't use ChangeLog entries, gjc does I
believe. (Classpath was supposedly going to auto-generate a change
log based on CVS commits, but I never saw this happen in practice).
Should we switch to the Cygnus approach?

3. The current Classpath archive sends CVS commit messages to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], which is basically just a mail alias
on the GNU server, not a real mailing list. Should we set this up
as a real smartlist list and allow people to subscribe to it?
I think so. Paul will have to be the one to do that, though.

4. The Classpath homepage needs updating.

Everyone with commit access from Classpath, please email me with your
GNU kerberos username so that I can get you write access to this
repository. I am assuming for now that the Cygnus developers will
want to use SSH, which is also supported on subversions. I have a list
of those developers, and will be contacting them later with the
info I need to set up SSH. If any Cygnus developer has a GNU kerberos
account and wants to use that, just send me an email with your
username.
