Unless someone else feels up to it, my guess is Paul will be able to
diagnose the problem since he wrote the code.  Until then, you can
change the previous directories Makefile.am to not include this subdir
and as long as you're not trying to load an image or display you
should be ok... in fact there are so many broken things not
AWT... maybe just using 'make -i -k' would be best for you until this is
fixed in your environment or in CVS... don't know which.
