I understand and agree. The routing table approach was never designed but just something that happened to work. There are a number of RFEs open for improving administrative control over probing (4490053, 6407708, 4489960, ...) which were out-of-scope for Clearview IPMP but still need to be addressed, likely when IPMP is brought under SMF.
