Hi all - Short summary: Please give me feedback on mockups for network configuration of enterprise class systems. See link below.
Longer story: For any of you who don't know me, I'm the user interface designer working on NWAM. In the last couple of months I've been iterating on GUI designs with the team to work out network configuration. One area that I need a lot of feedback on is the NWAM in the enterprise environment b/c of my relative unfamiliarity with that environment and the users, more complex networking (IPMP, VLAN, link aggregation), and new changes coming from Clearview. The mockups aren't totally polished, and all graphics are placeholders. I'd appreciate all your feedback - e.g. IPMP can't be created given the mockup dialog, it needs to also collect info X, Y, Z; name "Interface" on pane N needs to be clearer, try "Q"; i like the graphic indicators, though perhaps they should also have show state T, etc I've marked parts of the spec and mockups with "<?>" when i have specific questions. http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/nwam/UIDesign/ConfigUI/ Feedback by Th Sep 21 would be great.
