Matt, I see the merge was done.
How would I go about updating these packages? Excuse the dumb question, but I am not sure how I do this from the install. Is it via apt-get? Thanks Des Hartman From: Matt Williams <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Date: Saturday, 22 June 2013 12:45 AM To: "[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Subject: Re: [Clearwater] Client REGISTER gets 405 error Des, I've tested my change to allow other ports (and hence allow bono and sprout to run on the same host) and sent it for review. Once this is merged (you can watch its progress at https://github.com/Metaswitch/sprout/pull/85), you should be able to pick up the new package from the "latest" repository (rather than the "stable" one). Note that after installing both bono and sprout, you'll need to hack the configuration · to change /etc/init.d/bono to replace "--edge-proxy $sprout_hostname:5058:$upstream_connections" with "--edge-proxy $sprout_hostname:5054:$upstream_connections" · to change /etc/init.d/sprout to replace "--trusted-port 5058" with "--trusted-port 5054". Then you'll need to stop bono and sprout (with "sudo service bono stop" and "sudo service sprout stop") and wait for monit to restart them. I hope that helps. It doesn't expect this to happen - only UEs (which are on the untrusted network) should send REGISTERs to bono. I suspect that bono is receiving the bono from the UE on the untrusted port (5060), forwarding it on to the trusted port (5058) of what it thinks is sprout. However, bono itself binds to port 5058, as it needs to receive trusted messages back from sprout. As a result, bono ends up receiving the REGISTER it intended to send to sprout, and hits this behavior. This will require a code fix. I coded one at https://github.com/Metaswitch/sprout/tree/allow_bono_sprout_different_trusted_ports a few weeks back, but then heard that wherever-green-is-worn (https://github.com/wherever-green-is-worn) had coded and tested a fix and didn't get round to testing mine. I haven't heard back from wherever-green-is-worn since, so I'll see if I can quickly test my fix and get it merged. I'll let you know how I get on. I had to turn debugging right up to see it. Not sure why this is an issue. Cannot see anything immediately from the log, so was wondering is you could have a quick look over it? It is a restart of all the services and they all seem to come up and then I try to register the client and get a 405 Thanks Des Hartman
