Hi Asif, The sprout nodes provide BGCF function - they are configured with mappings from SIP trunk IP addresses/host name to the list of nodes used to route to those addresses. The documentation to set up BGCF routing is at https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-docs/wiki/IBCF.
Project Clearwater uses ENUM to map PSTN numbers to SIP URIs (using DNS NAPTR records) - details of this can be found at https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-docs/wiki/ENUM. Also, if you have a number range that should be routed to a SIP trunk then you will need to set this up in the ENUM configuration to map to a SIP URI owned by the SIP trunk provider. You may then need to update the BGCF routing to this URI - this is documented at https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-docs/wiki/IBCF#enum-configuration Ellie From: Mohammad Asif Khan [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 03 April 2014 13:42 To: Mohammad Asif Khan; Eleanor Merry; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Clearwater] Homestead installation failed Hi Ellie ok, we will check it and will let you know if we need any further help. But meanwhile we are trying to route call from clear water to external Asterisk server.normally this is done via SIP trunking.my understanding is in IMS case it will be done via BGCF.but i m unable to find any documentation of configuring BGCF.if my understanding is correct would you please help me,how to configure BGCF. Second question is what exactly the role of ENUM in call routing to external networks or PSTN. Asif
