Shahzad,

I've pushed the patched code up to my github account at
https://github.com/mirw/uctimscharging. You should be able to change to the
UCTCDF directory and type make to build it.

It's a bit of a hack - as I say below, it doesn't crack out much detail and it
seems to lock up pretty frequently. As a result, I'm not sure it's a great
basis to build on long-term and I'm probably not going to spend a huge amount
more time on it.

I hope what's there (basic support for receiving Rf EVENTs) is of some use to
you - good luck!

Matt

Shahzad,

The key point here is for the CDF not to establish Diameter connections to ralf
but instead for ralf to establish Diameter connections to the CDF.

If you're using the UCT IMS Client CDF, you'll need a few bugfixes before this
will work. Since I did this last night (from home), unfortunately I don't have
the patches with me - but I should be able to share them tonight/tomorrow.

For my testing, I

• created a separate host to run the CDF

• configured my CDF (via the cdf.xml file)

o to have the correct host and realm by changing the "DiameterPeer" XML
element's "FQDN" and "Realm" attributes

o not to establish outbound connections by removing the "Peer" XML element

o to listen on the correct IP address and standard port (3868) by changing
the "Acceptor" XML element's "bind" and "port" attributes

o to use the correct application ID (3) by changing the "Auth" XML element's
"id" attribute

• configured DNS to have NAPTR ("AAA+D2T"), SRV and A records for a new
"cdf.mirw.cw-ngv.com<http://cdf.mirw.cw-ngv.com>" realm, with the A record
pointing at the host

• on my ralf node, added a
"billing_realm=cdf.mirw.cw-ngv.com<http://cdf.mirw.cw-ngv.com>" property to
/etc/clearwater/config and restarted the ralf process with "sudo monit restart
ralf".

I hope that helps. As I say, in case you are using the UCT IMS Client CDF,
I'll try to upload the patches later.

Thanks,

Matt

and other attributes for peer auth. i was unable to find

i tried the same CDF and its sending message to RALF now, but Ralf not knowing

Asif,

Just to let you know, I had a play with the UCT IMS Client CDF last night -
thanks for pointing it out!

Unfortunately, it's a bit incomplete and not very compliant (at least with
recent versions of the IMS specs - it was last updated in 2009!). With a
little tweaking, I managed to get it to display Rf EVENTs but it doesn't give
much detail, and it seemed to lock up quite frequently.

Does anyone know of any other open-source CDFs?

Thanks,

Matt

Asif,

If you were looking for the download link for the CDF, I found it at the bottom
of
https://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=7844&release_id=16324.
This server seems a bit unreliable, though, so it's also on Sourceforge at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/uctimsclient.berlios/files/uctimscharging1.0.1.tar.gz/download.

As Ellie says, though, we haven't yet tested with it - if you do, please let us
know how you get on!

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Asif,

We've not found an open source CDF for our testing - we're going to take a look
at the one you've suggested though!
We've been testing with internal tools/scripts that emulate a CDF.

Hi

We are planning to integrate a CDF with clearwater, during some searching have
found one which is

http://uctimsclient.berlios.de/uctimscharging.html.
but i am unable to download it.
Can you please let me know if you have integrated and tested any CDF with
clearwater so far.or if there is any specific open source CDF which can be
integrated.

Regards
Asif
