Hi, Thanks for the update. I've looked into this and we do set the hostname (in https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-infrastructure/blob/master/clearwater-infrastructure/usr/share/clearwater/infrastructure/scripts/hostname) - we've added this as a workaround for an issue with EC2 where the public hostname wasn't being updated correctly when a box had been restarted.
This should only set it to the genuine public hostname of the box - e.g. boxes deployed in EC2 end up with hostnames like ec2-xx-xx-xx-xx. (Note that the prompt name does depend on the packages installed, so the prompt is something like 'sprout'). What environment are you using?
