Hi,

Thanks for the update. I've looked into this and we do set the hostname (in
https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-infrastructure/blob/master/clearwater-infrastructure/usr/share/clearwater/infrastructure/scripts/hostname)
 - we've added this as a workaround for an issue with EC2 where the public
hostname wasn't being updated correctly when a box had been restarted.

This should only set it to the genuine public hostname of the box - e.g. boxes
deployed in EC2 end up with hostnames like ec2-xx-xx-xx-xx. (Note that the
prompt name does depend on the packages installed, so the prompt is something
like 'sprout').

What environment are you using?

Ellie

before installing any clearwater debian packages I have my os hostname set as
follows:
uname -n
sprout01.mydomain.com
cat /etc/hostname
sprout01.mydomain.com

Now install sprout (or any other component) apt-get install sprout uname -n
pcscf cat /etc/hostname pcscf

and in /etc/hosts it adds the host entry for pcscf as well.

I get a hostname of pcscf when deploying any of the five packages. This
should not be happening. In my case the prompt is being updated because the
hostname is changed. so it appears a script in the dubian packages are making
this change.
