Matt, first of all thank you for helping, the changes you suggested worked (<Acct id="3" vendor="0"/>) now there is a connection and ralf sends ACRs. Sometimes, the CDF says that fails to find AVPs but I think that is a software problem because the messages leaving RALFs are normal in my opinion. Since the home page of the project is not working anymore, so no explanation are present, I have another little question: in theory as CDF this should generate CDRs, do you remember it this is happening and if yes where I can find them?
Thank you very much, Abaco 2014-09-24 15:08 GMT+02:00 Matt Williams <[email protected]>: > Abaco, > > I saw your email - it's good to hear you've got Ralf trying to connect to > the CDF. > > Over the last few months, I think there have been a few fixes in Ralf to > make it more standards-compliant - in particular > > - > https://github.com/Metaswitch/ralf/commit/d30a254309265dd0f0b8009264a4ae1ff842c75a > - which corrected Ralf to register Rf as an accounting application (rather > than an authentication application) > > - > https://github.com/Metaswitch/ralf/commit/982f593da833b1779c84f87e09b7330f0e4ec96b > - which corrected Ralf to register Rf as base application 3, not > application 3 under the 3GPP vendor namespace. > > I think UCTCDF would need tweaking to bring it into line with the > standards - my quick hack a few months ago was just to bring it into line > with Ralf which, as noted above, was not fully standards-compliant at the > time. > > I would try modifying > https://github.com/mirw/uctimscharging/blob/master/UCTCDF/cdf.xml - where > it says "<Auth id="3" vendor="10415"/>", I think it should say something > like "<Acct id="3"/>" - or maybe "<Acct id="3" vendor="0"/>"? > > Having said that, I haven't tested this at all, so it's a bit of a guess. > As I said back in May, even when fully working it doesn't crack out much > detail and seems to lock up quite a bit. > > Please let me know if you do manage to get this working! > > Thanks, > > Matt > > -- > > Matt Williams > Software Development Manager, Project Clearwater > +44 (0) 20 8366 1177 > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto: > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Ruggero > Schiavi > Sent: 24 September 2014 13:45 > To: Eleanor Merry > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Clearwater] Ralf diameter realm > > Hi Ellie, > I set now the DNS correctly and Ralf finds the CDF and tries to initiate a > Diameter connection. > Looking in the mail archive I downloaded this basic CDF patched by Matt > Williams. > > https://github.com/mirw/uctimscharging > > I set the parameters and the the software receives the capabilities > exchange but answers with the DIAMETER_NO_COMMON_APPLICATION this, I > suppose, is the reason for which Ralf is not sending ACRs. > > I know that this software is not yours and I don't want to waste your time > but since in May the solution even if buggy was working for Matt Williams > I would like to know if something changed (in Clearwater) or If I > misconfigured something. > > Thank you in advance for any help you can provide, > > Abaco > > > > > 2014-09-19 14:41 GMT+02:00 Eleanor Merry <[email protected]>: > > > Hi Abaco, > > > > Ralf should attempt NAPTR resolution on the diameter realm. > > What DNS entries have you set up for your Clearwater nodes?
