Hi Shazad,

Thanks for the logs, and the clear explanation of what you did :-).

I can see the problem. The timer that triggers Call Diversion on No Answer is
only started when sprout receives a 180 Ringing response. In the logs you sent
me I can see that sprout is not receiving a 180 response, so the diversion is
not triggered. Can you investigate why sprout is not receiving a 180 response?
Perhaps the target endpoint is not sending one, or another device between
sprout and the endpoint is not forwarding a 180 when it should.

Clearwater does not currently have a feature to *terminate* the call after a
certain period of ringing I’m afraid.

Thanks,
Alex.

Thanks Alex,

i am attaching a log file,

scenario is 03050739082 is calling 03050739092 which has set 5 sec no answer
time, my understanding if till 5 seconds 03050739092 does not attend the call,
it should be considered as no answer and should be redirected but it does not
happen, i can see the call ringing on the phone for a long time then nothing
was happening so i canceled the call as you can see from logs.

I would be thank ful if you can tell me how to set timeout for ringing like
after 30 seconds of ringing automatically disconnect the call.

Best Regards
Shahzad

Hi Schahzad, thanks for your question.

The order of call diversion rules does matter as the first matching rule will
cause the call to be diverted. However it doesn't sound like this is an
ordering issue, as it sounds like no rules are matching.

Call diversion is performed by the "MMTEL application server" which is part of
sprout. Are you able to reproduce the problem and share your sprout logs? The
logs are produced in /var/log/sprout/sprout*.txt. By default the logging level
is set to log level 2, which only includes errors and very high level events.
Investigating this problem will require debug logs. To enable these change the
log level to 5 by writing log_level=5 to /etc/clearwater/user_settings
(creating it if it doesn't exist already), and restart sprout (using service
sprout stop - monit automatically restarts it).

Thanks,
Alex.

Subject: [Clearwater] Sprout NoReplyTimer not working

Hi list,
i am trying to set up call diversion/forwarding and its working fine for Phone
is unregister/unreachable and all calls.

But if i setup rule for 'no answer' which is third rule top to botton on
ellis, i see on sproute Rule as well as noreplytimer set to 5 seconds which i
did. But after 5 seconds of call ringing, i dont see diversion in this case, i
didnt find any error or log info. Has any one clue why its happening? is it
sprout which has to decide for call diversion when for 5 seconds call is
ringing and there is no call pickup also is ellis sequence of rules has any
thing to do ( taking the rule 3 no answer rule to take rule 1) ?
