Hi Asra,

The public hostname is deliberately re-initialised in
/etc/clearwater/local_config when we reboot, in case the IP address of the
machine has changed.

However, any settings in /etc/clearwater/user_settings should override that -
can you set "public_hostname=<your public IP>" in /etc/clearwater/user_settings
and try that?

Best,
Rob

Subject: Public Hostname

Dear Mr. Day

Thanks for your help and interaction.
Please find here trace (from Calling/Originating side) to confirm that the ACK
message is well sent by the Calling/Originating Sip Agent, but it is not
received by Clearwater.

In fact, the Clearwater VM has 1 public IP address and 1 private IP address.
The issue is that the ACK is sent to the private IP address of the Clearwater
(as the private IP address is set in the 'Record-Route' parameter of the 200
OK).

So, I consider that I must change the configuration of Clearwater to have the
Public IP address instead of the Private IP address for this interface.

I have tried to change the "public hostname " and the "public IP" with the
public IP address in file 'etc/Clearwater/local_config' and then reboot the
machine; but after reboot, the file is re-initialized, with nothing changed (ie
"public hostname " and the "public IP" still with the private IP)

if you know how to change the relevant configuration: "public hostname", ... to
solve this issue, could you please tell me?

Best Regards
Asra
