Midmistro, Yes, while Project Clearwater's P-CSCF (Bono) does not support AKA, Clearwater's I/S-CSCF does if fronted by an AKA-capable P-CSCF such as Perimeta (https://www.metaswitch.com/perimeta-session-border-controller-sbc) - this is how we deploy Clearwater for VoLTE.
Regarding, early IMS, I'm afraid Bono doesn't support that either. Perimeta acts as a P-CSCF (AKA-MD5 authentications), and also performs the transcoding that you will also need to be able to communicate with most gateways. For your second question, you will need at a minimum Dime, Sprout, Homer, Ellis, Vellum, and DNS. For what it is worth….Clearwater works GREAT for a voLTE IMS. Lastly, not sure about early IMS.
