I was able to resolve the issue by adding the entry in the bind dns file (/etc/bind/zones/db.ims.hom) file : _sip._tcp.scscf.sprout IN SRV 0 0 5054 sprout _sip._tcp.icscf.sprout IN SRV 0 0 5052 sprout which was previously _sip._tcp.scscf IN SRV 0 0 5054 sprout _sip._tcp.icscf IN SRV 0 0 5052 sprout The call was successfully placed then.
