I'm using Clementine 1.3.1 on Kubuntu 16.10. Editing the config file as
follows (specifying alsasink, pointing to the device specificed from aplay
-l, and changing rgcompression to "false")

[GstEngine]
sink=alsasink
device="hw:0,0"
rgenabled=false
rgmode=0
rgpreamp=@Variant(\0\0\0\x87\0\0\0\0)
rgcompression=false
bufferduration=4000
monoplayback=false
samplerate=-1
bufferminfill=33

I was able to get Clementine to recognize frequencies above 44.1. I can get
it to recognize 88.2, 192. etc. However, the playback is stuck at 16 bits
and won't recognize 24 bits. While playing 24/192 files, I get this output:

$ cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params
access: RW_INTERLEAVED
format: S16_LE
subformat: STD
channels: 2
rate: 192000 (192000/1)
period_size: 1920
buffer_size: 38400

If I play the same files in DeadBeef, it spits out -- format: S32_LE

Does anybody know how you could get Clementine to use S32_LE from editting
the config file?
