Hi, I have multiple Linux installations, often on the same machine. My player of choice for mp3s has been Clementine whenever possible. I have experienced a problem with some systems in which Clementine will stop being able to build it's library file after it has reached a certain level of content. For example, The player will scan most folders correctly, and then it may reach a point on the last library folder scan when it reaches %82 (for example) of a folder's file scan. I have also encountered infrequently lockups on initial scans in which I may be forced to do a cold shutdown on my system. The result is not pleasant. On a system where I normally might be able to use Clementine without problems, I may find next ftime that Clementine will never successfuly be able to complete an update scan of my mp3 files. I have discoverred that I can copy the hidden Clementine config files from one system (on a multi-Linux machine) and drop to replace the files on the locked up Clementine library system on an alternate system on that same machine. Of the course each system is using the same library of files so the config. files are compatible. This will accomplished 2 things very quickly. I instantly have a complete library scan file available, and Clementine is again free to do it's scanning process without a lockup. Problem solved. Ok. So here is the question: Is there any type of reset button available in Clementine? My experience has shown me that the player could use one. So if there is no such thing, may I suggest that such an option is added to your software? Oh yes. I have tried completely removing and reinstalling Clementine but it would appear that a complete uninstall is not so complete. The config. files appear to mess up the new installation if this solution is tried, it's kind of annoying. Much thanks for the great work done with Clementine.
