I just discovered the "use dynamic mode" option for smart playlists, but
I'm not clear on what's actually happening here. I assumed that as I added
new tracks to my library, the smart playlist in an open tab would
automatically update with matching files immediately (i.e., when current
song finishes playing) without having to dismiss the tab and reload the
playlist as I was previously doing before turning this on. Is my thinking
correct?

I'm confused by the overlay menu with the Expand/Repopulate/Turn off
buttons. What do Expand and Repopulate do? If the playlist is updating
automatically, why would any action be necessary and why does this menu
need to be displayed? Does "Turn off" disable dynamic mode or does it just
hide this menu?

Thanks for any insights.
