 On my current build (so, gcc-4.2.0 and 2.6.22 kernel headers) I see
a lot of these messages from coreutils, and some from gzip.  There
are also messages that the warning can be disabled with
-fgnu89-inline.

 Probably, upstream will do something about these warnings before
gcc decides to upgrade it to an error.  I've built the first part of
my desktop (xorg, fluxbox, graphics libs and toolkits, firefox,
icewm) and nothing else mentions GNU89 in the logs, so I wouldn't
worry unless you see something bad resulting from it.
