Well, apparently 2.6.24.7 works okay on aaediwen's machine.
Got his sound working once I told him about the udev rules for alsa.
When I tested audio I used aplay.
I also have in my Ultra 60 two Quad Fast Ethernet cards and the PGX32,
all PCI.
I don't think Aaediwen had any pci devices in his machine.
Perhaps 2.6.24 series is doing something with PCI that is goofing
stuff up in my machine. Who knows.
I'm taking a break now. All I know is that 2.6.25 works with his
machine, mine, and Cosmo's. So that's three of us.
