Hello,
    I completed the final build and went through the section 12.4 making 
LFS bootable but I can't get my new LFS to boot. I think I may be 
running into an issue caused by the way I built the LFS and the hardware 
I'm using but I can't figure out what to do next. I built my own system 
from an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard and an AMD 64 Athlon X2 4800+ 
CPU. The MB has two SATA2 RAID controllers on board. A Silicone Image 2 
port that will do RAID 1 and a 4 port NVIDIA that will do RAID 5. I 
decided to put the LFS on the 2 port with mirrored disks and use the 
NVIDIA for data. One of the two ports on the Silicone Image controller 
is an external SATA-E which I don't have a cable for yet, so I decided 
to load some distribution on the disk connected to the NVIDIA controller 
and build LFS on the one connected to the SI controller. Well, I 
couldn't find a way to boot the system from the NVIDIA controller so I 
installed FC5 on the SI and built the LFS on the nV with the intention 
of swaping the disks and booting the LFS from the SI once it was built. 
I have checked and re-checked the conf file and gone through the section 
12.4 a number of times and keep getting an error that says it can't find 
a "boot signature on that partition". It's been a long time since I have 
used LILO but I have read about the loading in multiple stages and 
printing LILO on the screen but I never get as far as seeing an "L".  I 
am working from "SVN-20060516" building a pure 64. Has anyone ever seen 
this message about a boot signature? At first I thought it was that I 
hadn't marked the boot partition active but that is not the case. BTW, 
the partition table looks like this. Partition 1 is the home of the LFS 
kernel I am trying to boot.

Any body have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like 
to start building X and other things on my new OS.
