Many people on this list have been reading the first Beta of the book
[1]. Because of the aggressive schedule, there are a number of errata.
Many of these are typos, and some are caused by changes to Clojure
itself. I promise to correct 100% of these as they are identified, in
almost-real-time. (New betas will be available every two weeks or so.)
You can report errata at [2], and often you will find that somebody
else has already reported the issue, and the fix as well.

Judging from the feedback I have received so far, readers have been
able to work through any issues they have encountered, and have found
the book to be useful. Thanks for your patience!

There is one gaffe in the book that I cannot let stand until the next
beta release. When I was writing page 25, an alien possessed my brain,
causing me to claim that a simple Clojure transaction shown in the
book took no Java level locks. While Clojure may have near-magical
powers, this is not one of them. An accurate statement is that "no
reader or writer of a reference will ever block a commute."

Keep the feedback coming, and I will continue to work to create a book
that meets the high standards of this community.

Cheers,
Stuart
