Hello! I'm student and I'm finishing the 4-year university studying (baccalaureate). I'm not from English-talking country but, you see, my text-speech is pretty understandable. I'm improving my spoken English also. I'm writing my diploma in Clojure and I really like this language. But there's no Clojure-jobs in my city/country, so I think about remote job. My diploma is a system for automated forex trading. I'm using machine learning for robot trading. Compojure+datomic on the backend and clojurescript+enfocus on the frontend. Also made a course work about making simple 3d engine in clojure with seesaw library.
Except Clojure I have a lot of experience with C# .NET (windows forms, web, unity and entity fw) Have pretty much C++ experience but long time ago. Have basic Php, Python skills. Wrote some small sites on Wordpress+Php and wrote simple web instant messenger on Python-Tornado. Have a half of a year of studying Java and some its frameworks (Spring, Swing+JavaBuilder). Have pretty much experience of using html, css, js, jquery, ajax and a lil bit websockets. Know OOP, design patterns, principles of SOLID, KISS, DRY, YAGNI. Have basic SQL knowledges (Have a lot of oracle sql experience but it was 2 years ago and now I prefer ORMs, so I fogot really much. So let's say it's "basic" SQL skills). Have experience with github and bitbucket VCS (via SmartGit). Have basic hacking skills. Like sql-inj or xss Don't know is it meaning or not but last year I won a nomination in our local GameJam (http://globalgamejam.org/2017/games/game-jam-2017-true-story). Have one two-month project about drum-simulator game for VR (https://vk.com/video12474855_456239053). Well, the question is: Is it possible to find ANY remote Clojure job with this resume? I see that every company wants Senior developers in their team and I haven't seen any word about Juniors. And what about English skills? Do I need native English speaker level to have such job or what? Thanks for response! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clojure" group.
