The installation page for ELPA tells you how to install ELPA itself and to show a list of installable packages: http://tromey.com/elpa/install.html
That should work fine in Aquamacs. When you've got as far as the package list, press 'i' next to the clojure entry, then "x". These steps should get you a working clojure-mode.
