Im prototyping my startup this year, so it was a huge amount of effort trying to get into the right tecnology.. Clojure here is not so obvious, not even functional programming.. so a lot of work to make folks think "functionally" instead of "Objectionally" :) i pick clojure, cause it reduces my technological needs drastically.. not just in LOC but in functionality, and cause it make we think FINALLY in terms of algorithms and forget about semantics... i can finally throw design patterns books in the garbage :) .. and thinking the time that i waste TALKING to a machine and not realy programming it... it's clear imperative style was a cultural-tech virus, and the real antidote was keep forgotten only appreciated by scholars. without Rick's effort modernizing it, i could never be presented to this amazing tool, that opens a world of possibility never dreamed of(or dreamed just by an elite). Im sure amazing thinks will be made with this technology, not just because of the tecnology, but as it will bring clever minds, working on it.. Thanks to all clojure team, and rick's dream to make a lot of other dreams possible( and hope we can make good donations to thos effort).
