that Marginalia also understands docstrings notwithstanding I still look at 
this type of comments with some skepticism since it encourages 
the documentation outside its "natural" position.  Just think of all the 
people that are used to JavaDoc: where would they write their 
documentation?

Actually, I'd rather vote for even more strictness here, because it has been 
bothering me for close to 15 
years now that docstrings break the homoiconicity of Lisp.

Just my 2ct, though.
(And I love Marginalia, since It let's me create wonderful material for 
Clojure talks; of course using out-of-place comments ;-)
