Maik is right. However, if you still want an example application you can check out a side project <https://github.com/RyanMcG/Cadence> of mine. It works just fine on Heroku.
Originally it was a noir/jetty application which I have since moved to http-kit<https://github.com/RyanMcG/Cadence/commit/77298c789d0c77e65bc1007e7ae74a70e6161c7f>and Compojure.
