Hi Everyone, Disco Melee <http://discomelee.com/> was founded by a group of gamers because we were frustrated with twitch's lack of social features so we decided to reinvent the concept of social streaming, basically we are "making gaming social again".
We are seeking backend and frontend developers to build our web stack. We are moving fast, adding significant features every week to our product, currently in closed beta <http://closedbeta.discomelee.com/#landing>. The frontend is built in Clojurescript and Om, the backend in Clojure on a PostgreSQL database, all in a robust AWS infrastructure supported by continuous integration. Frontend desired skills: * Modern HTML and CSS * Clojurescript (and Javascript) * Om (and React) * Using APIs over AJAX and websockets * Functional programming techniques * Implementing a Photoshop design in HTML/CSS * video.js * d3.js Backend desired skills: * Clojure * PostgreSQL * Creating APIs * Functional programming techniques * AWS, especially DynamoDB, S3, and SES * Data security and privacy More important than prior experience with these technologies is an ability to learn, take responsibility, be proactive, communicate well, and work well with others.
