Ewww!  It works, but it's kinda sorta hideous, or at least non-obvious.

I guess somebody smarter than me could figure that out, but the official
documentation really should make this clear, no?  I'm thinking the The
Reader <http://clojure.org/reader> page and the Metadata
<http://clojure.org/metadata> page.  But I don't see where the source for
that is kept, it doesn't seem to be in the Clojure source tree.  Any idea
how to submit a doc fix?
