Because the conflict was only introduced five days ago, with this commit <https://github.com/clojure/clojure/commit/58227c5de080110cb2ce5bc9f987d995a911b13e#diff-d951a5cd799ae841ffcc6b45598180dbR6632>. Up until that point, the maintainers of Schema had no reason to include Inst in schema.core’s exclusions <https://github.com/plumatic/schema/blob/11f56b4c8e48280f8d31be3f07c5429f14f8e6b6/src/cljx/schema/core.cljx#L78> .
